Dr. Nicole Y. Culliver is a proven public servant, educator, and community leader with more than 30 years of experience delivering practical solutions that strengthen schools, families, and local government. She currently serves as President of Woodmere Village Council, where she leads budget oversight, legislative priorities, and municipal operations with a focus on transparency, fiscal responsibility, and collaboration.
Throughout her career, she has worked across sectors and perspectives to solve real problems. As a public school principal and longtime educator, she brings firsthand experience to issues impacting education, workforce readiness, mental health, and community safety—ensuring policies are grounded in evidence and lived experience.
Her leadership extends nationally through the National League of Cities, where she serves as an active voting member of councils focused on youth, education, and small cities. She is also a U.S. Fulbright-Hays Scholar and Hunt Institute Early Learning Nation Policy Fellow, contributing to thoughtful, solutions-oriented policy discussions at the national and global levels.
